Dear Parent
We would like to invite you to a parent/teacher meeting. You can make an appointment with the team of head teachers or with one of them (depending on how they are organise themselves). You need to book this appointment using the PTM module (“oudercontactmodule”) in Smartschool.
See hereafter for more practical details.
You can also request an appointment with one of the student counselors, one of the Directors or a CLB-contact person. (“Centrum voor Leerlingenbegeleiding” = the external student counseling center the school works with.) Please do so by sending them a message via Smartschool.
Should you NOT wish to make an appointment, please do let us know as well, again by using the PTM module.

Booking your appointment for the PTM can be done:
Using your Co-Account
Using the login details you received at the beginning of the school year
The student cannot book the appointment, only the co-account holder can do so.

You can consult the available slots for your child’s Head Teacher in the “Oudercontactmodule”. Choose the available time slot that suits you best.

Are you unable to login to your Smartschool? ? Go to our login page and click the tab “wachtwoord vergeten” (forgot password). Your user name (“gebruikersnaam”) is your child’s username (ex. z1234).
Still facing problems? Email us at: it@zavo.be writing “inloggegevens Smartschool” in the subject line. Mention the name and class of your child and we will help you along.

parents set up their appointment with their co-account in the parent contact module.
Choose “go to” for “parent meeting” in the navigation bar.
Click on “set up or modify appointment”
Choose “set up appointment”
Choose the correct date and the teacher you would like to have the appointment with.
In order to set up the appointment, choose the time and confirm.

During the Parent-Teacher Meeting
The meeting will be held in Dutch. Should this be an issue, you are allowed to bring a confidant to translate/interpret for you, this person can however not be the student. In case this is a problem, we will obviously do our utmost to communicate in the best possible way for both parties.
As a Dutch-speaking school, we do want to stress the importance of using Dutch. This is very important for our students and their development and growth-potential. The more you use a language, the richer it (and your vocabulary) will become, thus enhancing your chances of success.

24 hours prior to the appointment, our system will automatically check if all appointments are still booked and all live sessions are assigned.
At that time you will receive a reminder for the appointment inlcuding the link to the live session.
